Tianjin Dazhong Garments Co., Ltd. was founded in 1980 and is located in Baodi District, Tianjin. The factory has 930 employees, with a monthly capacity of 42,000 pieces of winter wear and 65,000 pieces of spring wear. We produce for The North Face, Rossignol, ELHO, Spyder and other brands.
Our main products are ski wear and outdoor wear. We also produce down coats, casual jackets and waterproof garments on the same site, in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.
Ski wear is our main product. We make insulated ski jackets, ski trousers and bib pants for adults, juniors and children. Most of these are repeat programmes for European and North American brands.
Down coats are made on a separate line, from lightweight packable jackets to heavy winter parkas with fur-trim hoods.
We make waterproof shell jackets and rain coats, including 3-in-1 styles where the outer shell and the zip-in liner are developed and graded together.
Casual outerwear is made on the same lines as our technical styles: softshell jackets, fleece and lightweight windbreakers.
The samples below include ski wear, down coats, waterproof shells, fleece and casual jackets, for men, women and children.
All samples are made to customer specification. Designs remain the property of the brands concerned.
Our factory is in the Dazhong Industrial Zone, Baodi District, Tianjin. Pattern making, cutting, sewing, down filling, pressing, finishing and packing are all done on the same site.
The main hall holds several hundred sewing stations in parallel rows. One order is built on its own line inside a single building, and our supervisors follow the work on the floor.
Down coats and fur-trim parkas are made on a separate line. Operators here handle thick padded panels and hood trims, so the line runs slower than a flat garment.
Patterns are made and graded on CAD workstations next to the cutting tables. A pattern change can be cut and sewn into a new sample on the same day.
Fusing presses, finishing tables and hanging rails are at the other end of the plant. Finished garments are checked on the rail and packed in the factory before shipment.
We have our own test room in the factory. Fabric and finished garments are tested here before bulk production and during the run. Our main test equipment is listed below.
Domestic and industrial washing machines run wash cycles on fabric and finished garments. We check shrinkage, seam condition and appearance after washing.
A hydrostatic head tester puts shell fabric under water pressure, to confirm the waterproof level required for an outer layer.
A floor-standing test machine pulls fabric and seam samples until they break, and measures the strength of shell fabric and stitched seams.
Shade matching and colour fastness are checked in a standard light box. Approved colours are then read the same way in our factory and in your office.
A test oven shows how fabric, coatings and trims behave under heat and drying. Materials are checked here before they are used for a bulk order.
Our technicians check the work through the working day and record the results with the production file, both during the run and at the end.

Shell fabric, lining, filling and trims are ordered and then tested in our test room.
Patterns are made and graded on CAD, then sewn as a fit sample for your comment.
A sample in bulk material is approved against your specification before the line starts.
The order is made on its own line, with inspection during sewing.
Finished garments are inspected and packed in the factory, then shipped from Tianjin port.
As our quality improved, well-known ski and outdoor brands placed their production with us. Some of these customers have worked with the factory for more than twenty years.
Our director, Mr. Long Shan Zhang, has always held that high quality production and delivery on time are the root of the company’s development. On this basis the factory has grown from 109 employees to 930.
China opened its doors to the world and the economy began to reform. This made a garment industry possible in the north of the country.
Dazhong is founded with 109 employees. The sewing machines are old models, all of them worked by hand.
Business grows quickly and the factory makes clear progress in machinery. Quality improves a great deal, and customers come from Japan, Hong Kong and other countries.
The factory is well regarded by the local government for its part in the town economy, which benefits several thousand people. We continue to invest in higher technology equipment, with the aim of reaching the level of the leading factories in our industry.
